Design
We examine how design thinking and design methods can be used to generate tangible solutions to complex and intangible challenges in organizations, overcome frictions collaboratively among various stakeholders, and foster distributed initiative.
What is design thinking?
Design thinking is an exploratory process that allows for unexpected discoveries along the way. Iterative and inherently non-linear, it differs significantly from the planning-centric, milestone-based processes that define traditional business practices. However, it is not disorganized or undisciplined. Instead, it aims to create results through inspiration, ideas, and practice based on empathy, reframing, prototyping, and co-creation in diverse groups.
Design thinking enables leaders and organizations to:
- Combine creative and analytical thinking
- Find customer/organization needs and dreams
- Redefine the problems
- Create a range of possible solutions
- Go beyond open ideas
- Prototype
- Continuous iteration
