3D PRINTING
In the workshop, 4 Ultimaker FDM 3D printers, two of which are Ultimaker S3, one of the largest FDM printers Ultimaker has ever made, and the other two Ultimaker 2+ Extended and Ultimaker 3 Extended, a Zortrax M200 3D printer, a MakerBot Method X 3D printer and high For resolution models, Formlabs Form 3 3D printer is available. All Ultimaker printers have dual extruders and use PLA as the printing material. Students have to provide their own filaments.
Unsupported surfaces must have printed supports under them. Models with an abundance of negative space are not suitable for printing.
The adhesion of the models with a small base compared to the volume of the model is not suitable for printing.
3D printing machines should not be occupied for simple shapes whose prototype can be easily obtained from other materials.
3D machines are suitable for the production of complex forms and amorphous structures.
Only PLA is used as raw material.
